BETTING

In Texas Hold'Em, there are four rounds of betting. In each round, players must make a betting decision. They can:

Bet

Put money into the pot.

Call

Match a bet placed by a player before them. Many people know this as 'seeing' another player.

Raise

Raise the size of the bet that's already been made, i.e. call a bet and put an additional bet into the pot, forcing the other players to wager more money in order to stay in the hand.

Pass

Drop out of the hand altogether. Many people know this as 'fold'.

Check

Decline to bet. But, you can only check if no-one has placed a bet before you.
