Jeff Heaney
Jeff is Mark's work colleague, and views Mark with a not undeserved amount of derision. He's a high flying worker and plans to gain Sophie as another of his conquests. He’s the machismo opposite of Mark which sets them on collision course numerous times, Mark normally coming off second best – still one of Mark's better achievements to date. He's basically a bully and finds life much more entertaining by picking on other people.

Occasionally Mark does get the better of the situation, which he massively enjoys. His triumphant gloating climaxes when he gets a chance to give Jeff a good brooming.
