Giving in to the futility of life, Mark begins to binge on roast dinners. While pondering becoming a scout master, he is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Sophie's father and cousin Barney bringing his share of the wedding tuna and the news that Sophie is returning to work three weeks earlier than agreed.

While pondering becoming a scout master, he is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Sophie's father and cousin Barney bringing his share of the wedding tuna and the news that Sophie is returning to work three weeks earlier than agreed.
Sophie's star-struck cousin gives Jeremy his demo CD, which turns out to be far better than anything he and Super Hans have yet come up with. The duo use it to secure a gig and set about enrolling the talented Barney into the group, though they can't resist abusing his eagerness to please.
Meanwhile, Mark has to face the abuse of his co-workers, and Sophie's increasingly aggressive and erratic behaviour towards him, until he meets the weirdly attractive and sexually forward 'Dobby', from the IT department.
