ACTION FOR CHARITY
In October Fern participated in her 4th 'Women 4 Women' challenge – a cycle through the desert in Jordan.
The cycle ride took the women through amazing scenery, visiting the spectacular red rock city of Petra, then on through the desert to Robert's Rock where they camped in Bedouin tents before cycling to Aqaba on the shores of the Red Sea.
All funds raised are used to train women scientists and clinicians of the highest calibre to work on major research projects to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions that cause miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility and cancer. The fundamental aim is to safeguard future generations by improving women's health and ensuring more women have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
