Big Henry

Quite sadly Henry has been put to sleep. There was huge interest in him, and they were down to three choices to choose between. Before he was to be rehomed however they were due to neuter him and when the vet examined him they discovered the arthritis in his legs was far worse than they imagined and he required a great deal of surgery that it was thought he would not survive. On top of this they also discovered he had heart disease too. RIP Henry.

There's been a lot of interest in Bowzer and the centre is still working through them (a lot were unsuitable as they had children under 15). They still have a few people to contact, however, and are hopeful he may still find a home - but if anyone is still interested please get in touch. Just to recap Bowzer was taken to the vet’s by his previous owner who couldn’t cope with his cheeky nature and wanted him put down. He was taken to the rescue centre instead and has now calmed down a great deal! He likes his exercise so would be best suited to an active family – without cats or children under 15. His coat will need to be clipped regularly to keep it looking lovely. Ideally Bowzer would suit a household in the Gloucestershire area with owners who have experience of strong minded dogs.

After many calls Tilly and Henry were placed with a couple who recently had one of their two poodles pass away and hence have a lonely remaining poodle at home - so Tilly and Henry are going to go and keep him company.
