No Angels
No Angels: Kaye Wragg
Kaye Wragg plays Kate Oakley...

"Basically, we just got plastered and played drinking games..." laughs Kaye Wragg as she looks back on her first night in Leeds with her No Angels co-stars.

"We were thrown together as four very different actresses who, within a week of getting the job, were all living together.

That night was such a good laugh and it stayed the same for the whole time we were filming."

Cheshire-born Kaye plays Kate, who she sees very much as the mother of the group...

"She's the one that looks after all the girls, cleans the house and pays the bills. She likes to have fun, but pretty much on an innocent level." But Kate's not quite as together as she first appears.

"I think out of the four girls, she's the one that has a lot of growing up to do," continues Kaye. "She loves to look after people, but she doesn't like to be labelled or put upon, but unfortunately that's what happens. Kate can see it, but she doesn't necessarily want to believe it.

In spite of all her difficulties, Kate remains a dedicated professional but, unlike her character, Kaye doesn't feel she’d be cut out for the nursing profession. "I'm pretty crap when it comes to stuff like that - my stomach turns!" she says.

No Angels: Kaye Wragg
"We spent an afternoon shadowing nurses on a ward and I felt so false watching these really sick people, and not even being a trainee doctor. But it was fascinating because when you watched the nurses and doctors around you, they all talked about where they're going out and who's copped off with who. It was exactly like No Angels!"
