Terry O'Quinn

As an ex-bodyguard and former boxing champion, Terry O'Quinn trod a very different early career path to his ex-model co-stars of Lost.

His acting career took off when he landed the part of the menacing master of the house in Joseph Ruben's 1987 chiller, The Stepfather. More lead roles followed in films such as Prisoners of the Sun, but some of his most best performances have been reserved for supporting roles, like his convincing portrayal of Howard Hughes in Disney's The Rocketeer.

His feature film credits date back to 1980, and include roles in Old School, The X-Files: Fight the Future, Primal Fear, Ghosts of Mississippi, Tombstone, Blind Fury, Young Guns, Black Widow, Heaven's Gate and Places in the Heart.

On television, O'Quinn has had starring roles in Millennium and Harsh Realm, with recurring roles on The West Wing, Alias and Jag. He has also guest starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The X Files and Roswell.

He was born on 15 July 1952. Something of a musician, he has played percussion since high school and is a talented guitarist and singer.
