Emilie de Ravin

Emilie (pronounced Emily) de Ravin was born and raised in Australia, where she studied ballet from the age of nine.

When she was 15, she was accepted into the highly selective Australian Ballet School, where she gained invaluable performance experience. She then went on to study acting at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Her big acting break came when she landed the exotic role of The Demon Curupira on the popular television series Beastmaster: The Legend Continues.

Within a month of moving to Los Angeles from Australia, she became a series regular on Roswell. Soon after, she starred in the television remake of Stephen King's classic horror film, Carrie.

Her appearances in Lost have led to big screen opportunities. She has recently made three feature films: the black comedy Santa's Slay, the drama/mystery Brick, and the remake of the 1977 classic horror flick, The Hills Have Eyes.

She was born on 27 December 1981. She lives in Los Angeles with her fiancée Josh and her dog, Bella.
