Essentially, the Lost Experience is a worldwide hunt between me, my mates Speaker in the US, Ninja in Australia and all the scores of fellow truth-hounds out there who are trying to uncover the real purposes behind the Hanso Foundation, the company who developed and funded the DHARMA Initiative on the island in Lost, and those friggin numbers - 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. We want - need - more people to help - and you can get involved right here. Below is a really simple catch-up - if you want a more in-depth explanation, click here
Good question. The globe-spanning Hanso Foundation was started by the elusive Alvar Hanso many years ago, but has remained out of the limelight until recently. However, in May of this year (2nd to be precise), it aired a series of adverts and relaunched its website to better advertise their mission statement: to better mankind through social and scientific research and innovations in technology. Too philanthropic to be true? Too right...
He apparently worked as an arms dealer during the Second World War, but seemed to have a crisis of conscience at some stage and set up the benevolent Hanso Foundation. However, he disappeared from public life quite some time ago, and nobody seems to know where he is, not even the intrepid Persephone.
Persephone is the pseudonym used by a girl named Rachel Blake who made it her mission to try and get more people aware of what goes on behind the Hanso Foundation's closed doors. As Persephone, she infiltrated the Hanso site and shone a light on what their chief execs are really like behind those holier-than-thou front and what really goes on within their so-called humanitarian projects. Since the Hanso site got shutdown, she's come out with her own diary, piecing together bits of evidence as to what's taking place.
Little is known about this project, which received funding from the Hanso Foundation. It seems that the scientists involved in this disappeared some 30 years ago. However, those of you who have been watching Lost may have noticed that the computer in the hatch, on which the islanders have to enter those numbers, are part of the Dharma project (remember that Orientation video? and all the labelling on the food?). So how does it tie in with the Hanso Foundation? That's the part we're working on now - especially since the latest video footage from Rachel indicates an incredible revelation from an island in Sri Lanka... This is the third phase of the Lost Experience, piecing this video together, and we need as many people as possible to help, as Rachel's split it up and scattered it all over the place.
According to the www.apollocandy.com site, they're a subsidiary of the Hanso Foundation. But Rachel has specifically told us to keep an eye on their site, so that's what we advise you to do...
