It's Me or the Dog
Ever since eight month-old Teo moved in with students Jodi and Carl, their lives have been turned up side down.

Every time he is left on his own, even for 1 minute, Teo will soil the house. He has pooed on Carl’s bed several times. He poos on Carl’s artwork and worse, Teo very much enjoys eating it up afterwards.

Every single time they leave the house, or even just go upstairs for a minute, they will return to a bombsite. Teo raids the bin every time and the debris is strewn across the house. They have to clean up every morning and every time they return to their destroyed digs.

If he’s not chewing the walls and flooring, he’s clawing the furniture. In the past he’s destroyed many sentimental items – books, jewellery, ornaments – lots of things that belonged to Jodi’s late mother. Carl is trying to assemble an art portfolio to apply for a degree but Teo has trashed it and he’s had to start again. And Teo will eat anything and everything. He once ate an entire pack of chemicals from Carl’s art box and ended up close to death. The vet bill was £400. The next week he ate a box of Persil tablets. He has been caught trying to eat nuts and bolts. He eats the post if you don’t get to it first. He eats anything that is on the street. He is obsessed.

Carl and Jodi have not managed to have a meal in peace since Teo arrived. He jumps up and steals food from the table while they are eating it – out of their hands and their mouths and he dribbles all over them while they try and perch on the sofa to eat. They have taken to walking around while eating. Guests for dinner are an impossibility. He will drink your cup of tea if you put it down.

The final straw for the student friends comes every morning at 6am, when the crying and scratching outside Jodi’s door begins. If she ignores it, he’ll push the door open and come in anyway. He may turn to Carl’s door. His favourite place to be is directly on top of Jodi’s head, and this is where he lies. He also gets on her head when she is on the sofa relaxing. Nice.

Over to Victoria who needs to turn around and tame turd-eating Teo before Jodi ends up mopping the house all by herself.
