It's Me or the Dog
Jimi and Duke
Destructive, disobedient and intent on humping everything and everyone in sight, Jimi and Duke are causing mayhem in the otherwise harmonious Brown Household. But Jimi and Duke are not delinquent teenagers, they're the family's two pet Labradors. At seven stone apiece and with the ability to open doors, nowhere in the house is out of bounds for the marauding mutts. And there's no escape for Angela Nugent and her partner David Brown, and their two kids Katy 12, and Chris 14.

Bath time for Angela is never relaxing, as the dogs have a lust for lather and as soon as Angela has soaped up, the dogs have licked it off! The dogs literally wet themselves with excitement every time Dave comes home from work (usually over the kitchen floor). And whenever the couple try to get up close and personal, 13 stone of dog invariably comes between them.

Even Bedtime is a fiasco, with both dogs insisting on getting in and on the bed with David and Angela and refusing to get off. But it's not just relationships which are fraying at the edges. If the dogs aren't chewing their way through the TV remote controls they are chewing through parts of the house - Jimi has devoured a wall, wallpaper, skirting boards with his mouth and can't be left alone as he causes so much damage. Both dogs are rather partial to stealing food and clothes. The postman was once greeted by Duke with Angela's bra in his mouth. She was mortified.

The kids' new trainers also came a cropper when the dogs chewed them to pieces. The bad behaviour, however, doesn't stop there - also featured in their rebellious repertoire is cat biting, ignoring commands and pulling Angela over whenever she tries to walk them.

The family are under siege all of the time and the lack of privacy, especially in the bedroom, is getting to them. With thousands of pounds worth of damage already inflicted on their household, they don't know how much more they can take.

Angela and Dave have no control over their dogs but very quickly Victoria teaches them how to take command. She even manages to train them to leave a big fat juicy steak placed on the floor right in front of them! But the dogs' highly sexual behaviour is more difficult to control.

Victoria believes every male pet dog should be castrated unless it's being specifically used for responsible breeding. Castrating dogs makes them much easier to train. Of Jimmy and Duke she says: "These dogs are like two young men, fuelled by testosterone, and basically they want to get laid!"

The writing's on the wall for Jimmy and Duke's testicles and before long they're checked into the local vet ... but will their lack of plums make them any easier to control?
