The IT Crowd

The Work Outing

What brings you to my lair, not that I'm some sort of animal... or maybe I am?Any hope Jen had of finding love are dashed after Roy and Moss manage to get themselves included when Philip on Six comes to the basement to borrow her copy of Heat and invite her to the theatre, turning her hot date into a work outing.

Things take a turn for the worse when Richmond's portents of doom start to come alarmingly true; Phillip gets them tickets to 'Gay' - a gay musical featuring sing-a-long classics like 'I'm a Friend of Dorothy', and 'I Love Willies'.

Roy can't wait for the interval, and Moss' whole worldview is challenged but Jen is too distracted by Phillip's reaction to notice, which proves fatal. Put off by the presence of a toilet attendant, the boys seek quieter places to relieve themselves.

I think it's fabulous. Every value I've ever held has been questioned and I'm loving it!However, when Roy mistakenly pulls the emergency cord rather than the flush he ends up pretending he's disabled. After being rescued by the staff, which now includes Moss who is caught using the staff toilet, he does get to meet a TV star but that's scant consolation when he's put back on the bus back to Manchester with the rest of the gay disabled audience.

An ill wind is blowing. Last night I was disturbed from my slumber by a crow cawing three times - Caw! Caw! Well you know what a Crow sounds like. Passing to my window I trod on a piece of Lego - oh, it went right in the heel. Turning on my television set I noticed the reception wasn't great - not terrible, just not great - Hear me well, no good can come of your trip to the theatre tonight, no good at all!" Richmond
