TOP NEWS: GERARD MCCARTHY BACKS 'I'D DO ANYTHING CONTESTANT
Gerard and Rachel met at the age of twelve in a production of 'Grease' at Belfast's Arts Theatre and they have been best mates ever since. They worked together in many youth theatre productions during their teenage years. One of the highlights for them both was being cast together in the lead roles of Bernardo and Anita in 'West Side Story' in Belfast in 1999 (as seen in these photos).
"Rachel has a really funny, bubbly personality and is great craic on a night out", said Gerard. "But as soon as she walks into a rehearsal room she is highly professional, serious and 100% focused on her role. That's the type of performer that audiences want to see doing eight shows a week as leading lady in the West End. I guarantee she will blow their socks off!"
