TOP NEWS: GERARD MCCARTHY BACKS 'I'D DO ANYTHING' CONTESTANT
Gerard McCarthy (Kris Fisher) is taking time out of his busy HOLLYOAKS filming schedule this weekend to travel to London and cheer on his close friend Rachel Tucker in the quarter finals of 'I'd Do Anything' on Saturday night. Rachel has beaten off stiff competition from thousands of young hopefuls to become one of just five remaining contestants vying for the lead role of Nancy in Lionel Bart's 'Oliver!'
"Rachel has dreamt of performing in the West End for as long as I can remember," said Gerard. "This is her big chance. She is a fantastic performer and has fought long and hard to achieve her dream. Winning this role means everything to her. She is the best by leaps and bounds and definitely has my vote."
