Summer Strallen
SUMMER'S GOT A SECRET

Friday 29 February

Make sure you don't miss T4's behind the scenes show about Summer leaving HOLLYOAKS to play the lead role in The Sound of Music - both in the show and in reality!

SUMMER'S SECRET
The secret's out! Summer Strallen, now three days into her run as Maria in The Sound of Music, has endured months of keeping her big news a secret - even from her parents! Its seems it has all paid off though, and her opening night on Tuesday was a roaring success. We caught up with some of Summer's fellow HOLLYOAKS cast members who were down in London to support their friend...

ON STAGE
"It was great to see Summer on stage," said Loui Batley (Sarah Barnes). "I've seen her in a few other things before but it was amazing. She looked really great and very comfortable up there too." "She was fantastic," agreed Roxanne McKee (Louise Summers). "She got a standing ovation. I haven't seen her in the theatre before but she is perfect in that environment."

Tickets for the show are selling quickly but you can still get your hands on some by visiting the London Palladium website.

ALTER EGO
Summer's HOLLYOAKS journey of course linked in with her real life move to this prestigious West End role. Unlike the real Summer, who has plenty of experience of musical success, her HOLLYOAKS alter ego took a real chance in approaching Andrew Lloyd Webber for an impromptu audition which resulted in her, and on-screen boyfriend O.B (Darren Jeffries), making a big move to London.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Although few people knew of the parallel at the time, Summer did entrust a T4 crew to share her adventure. Now you too can take a sneaky peak behind the scenes with an exclusive documentary, airing this weekend. Producer/Director Jon Clements has been following Summer for the past 4 months. "This is such a massive thing for Summer," Jon told us. "It's the apex of her career and being with her, particularly through the process of final rehearsals, has been a really interesting thing to shoot."

"Filming has been difficult at times because Summer's schedule has been so tight with HOLLYOAKS and Sound of Music rehersals, but we're really pleased with the end result."

Summer's Got A Secret will air on E4 at 4.00pm on Saturday, and on Channel 4's T4 at 2.05pm on Sunday. Make sure you don't miss it!
