Wednesday 19th September
Tonight's episode on Channel 4 is full of action and drama, seeing Clare's attempt for revenge reach a watery end. We caught up with Gemma Bissix (Clare) to talk about leaving the show.
CHASE
Clare's reign of terror over the HOLLYOAKS village seems to finally come to an end in tonight's episode on Channel 4. Following a high-speed car chase involving Clare with kidnapped Katy, and Warren, Max and Justin, Clare's car plunges off a cliff into the water below. We spoke to Gemma Bissix (Clare) about having to play such an evil character, and how she feels about leaving.
EVIL
"I knew storylines up until Christmas 2006 and originally I was going to leave then after the storyline where Clare tried to kill Max," said Gemma. "So I knew what Clare was capable of, but at the same time I knew she had her reasons for the way she went along with Max and OB. But I didn't realise she was out and out evil! I suppose I have to take some credit - or is that responsibility? - for the fact she is so evil."
FUN
"I have got a great relationship with Matt (Max) and Darren (OB)," Gemma added. "The three of us used to work together all of the time and they have been absolutely fantastic, we have such good fun, and also little Ellis as well. We had such a laugh on set, it was brilliant. Sometimes we were giggling up until the time that they said action but then the faces changed and the seriousness started."
FANTASTIC
So how does Gemma feel about her time here? "I didn't know anyone up here at first because I'm from London, so I moved up and lived on my own. I've got five brothers and sisters and I've really missed them and all my friends but it was worth moving, I have had such a ball up here. I've got some really good friends up here now and the job was fantastic."
STUNT
