Calvin feels helpless as their search for Sasha proves fruitless but he's determined not to give up. When they get news of a possible sighting in London he clings onto the slightest bit of hope and plans to head down there with Leo. Lauren's thrilled when she wins the poetry competition but her news is overlooked by the family as they concentrate on finding Sasha. Val notices her disappointment and calls a family meal to celebrate but it's only a further disappointment to Lauren when half of the family don't show up. Carmel fears for her relationship with Calvin as the pressure of Sasha's disappearance mounts up but Calvin can't cope with Carmel's worries as well and breaks down in Val's arms. Calvin pulls himself together and heads off to the police station. They're stunned when a scruffy suspect is brought in and they realise it's Sasha. Calvin's relief on seeing his sister is short-lived when Sasha ignores her brother completely...

Elliot sets up the Comic Fayre in the SU Bar, but it's a bit of a non-starter as people fail to turn up to run their stalls. And the fact that Sarah hasn't shown up only ruins his day even more, although he won't admit it. Hannah can see Elliot's upset and helps him out. Watching them work together, Zak thinks they would make the perfect couple and does a bit of matchmaking. Sarah's gutted when Zak tells her Elliot and Hannah are getting close but hides her feelings. Zoe can see she really likes Elliot and encourages her to tell him exactly how she feels. Sarah hurries over to see Elliot but feels she's missed her chance when catching Elliot and Hannah in a compromising position.
Ste's discharged from hospital but with no-one else to turn to he begs Justin for help. Justin wants nothing to do with him at first but when he listens to Ste's heartfelt plea he knows exactly what it's like to have no-one and agrees to help him home. Amy's determined to get on with her life and goes round to the flat to pick up her things, with the help of Sarah and Zoe. But as they're leaving the flat, Ste and Justin arrive home. Amy's upset when Ste tells her he loves her, but she's soon brought back to reality when Sarah leads her away. Justin feels sorry for Ste and offers to make him some lunch but Ste's bitter and snaps at Justin to leave. Left alone, Ste clings onto Leah's teddy, sad, lonely and hating himself.
Jacqui's exhausted looking after Max and calls on her family to help out but no-one's very forthcoming, until Tina sees an opportunity to spend more time with him. Giving Jacqui the opportunity to sleep Tina comforts Max when he wakes for a feed but when she tries to give him his bottle he refuses it. As he begins to cry, Tina instinctively knows what Max wants and breastfeeds him. Jacqui's delighted when she wakes up to a content Max, lying quietly in his cot and can't thank Tina enough. Tina's guilty and can barely look her sister in the eye knowing what she's done.
