Jack 's struggling to cope with his mounting debts and doesn't know what to do next. When Frankie suggests her and Charlie join Steph and Tom on holiday he's forced to put his pride aside and asks Steph for money but insists Frankie is never to know. Steph agrees to keep his secret but when Frankie discovers all their accounts are empty she wants answers. Frankie confronts Jack and feels betrayed that he's lied to her but assures him they're in this together. Jack's relieved that everything is finally out in the open but when Frankie finds out he's begged money from his grieving step-daughter it's the last straw. Frankie goes, leaving Jack a broken man, worried she might never return.

Niall's enjoying sharing a flat with John Paul and suggests that they make it more of a permanent arrangement. John Paul's tempted by the suggestion but heads off to collect his college grades. Niall's in high spirits after driving a wedge between Myra and John Paul and seeing Steph in the village, but his mood soon changes when Kieron turns up on the doorstep. He's completely floored - he thought he'd seen the last of him. Niall's worried that Kieron will ruin his plans when he admits he still loves John Paul and wants to see him - but can he keep them apart?

Newt's manic and wants Eli to leave, convinced the longer he stays around the more chance there is of people realising it was them who targeted the village. He tells Eli he doesn't need him anymore, he's got Lauren now, but Eli tries to convince him that Lauren's evil and needs stopping. Newt's terrified as Eli tells him it's only a matter of time before Jack finds them out and insists they have to get him out of the way. His paranoia is heightened when he overhears Frankie and Jack arguing and Eli convinces him they can't be trusted. He knows what they have to do...

It's result day and the students all anxiously wait to find out their fate. Elliot is ecstatic as he realises that he's landed top marks but Zak is devastated... he's failed. As his plans for leaving uni disintegrate he realises that he has to face up to the fact that he's got to tell his mum the news, he won't be graduating this summer. The lads rally round him but Kris is in for the biggest shock of the day when he gets an unexpected visitor... his dad.
