OB prepares to leave Hollyoaks Village for the last time, and reveals to Steph that he's planning on taking Tom with him. Steph's shocked, but O.B insists it's for the best and heads off to tell Mandy. Mandy's insists he can't take Tom away, but O.B. is adamant - he's made a promise to Tom. Mandy reminds O.B. that Tom needs stability and she won't allow Tom to leave Hollyoaks. Knowing that Mandy is right, O.B. gives in. O.B and Mandy return to the flat and prepare to tell Tom that O.B. has changed his mind. But Tom overhears their discussion, believes that no-one wants him and runs away. Finding Tom in the Village, Steph explains that everyone wants to keep Tom and she'd be upset if he left. Tom understands that since Max died, Steph needs looking after - and he's the man to do it. With Tom appeased and Steph feeling positive about her new bond with Tom, O.B. waves goodbye to his friends in the village forever... safe in the knowledge that Max is looking over them...

Lauren returns from her Paris trip and pays Newt a visit. But Newt is concerned about Jack as he witnesses the repossession of the television. Lauren tries to calm Newt down, but Newt's intent on finding Eli. Lauren follows Newt to the boiler room at school in his hopeless search for Eli, and thinks they should talk to Jack. Newt orders Lauren to leave him alone and she heads back to the Dog. Lauren tries to get through to Jack but he's preoccupied with money worries and asks Lauren to leave. As Lauren heads home, Newt watches from the Jetty as Eli steps from the shadows and warns Newt that he'd better keep a close eye on Lauren...
Elliot's concerned that Sarah seems to be getting strange looks from people around the Village. Sarah insists that they recognise her face from her modelling, but Elliot's not so sure. Later as Sarah heads off to phone her agent, Elliot discovers the reason for Sarah's ridicule - she has become the new face of wind tablet 'Phart-eaze'. Elliot and Zak hurry around the village taking down all evidence of her embarrassing advertisement, but Sarah discovers them looking guilty and furious to see she's been made a fool of, blames Elliot for making her misery worse...
Russ is mooning over Caroline who he hasn't seen for a while. Zak's sure Russ has been dumped until she makes a sudden reappearance. Confused by her strange behaviour, Russ worries when Caroline seems keen to take him to bed, confessing to Zak that his one testicle may not be enough to please such an exciting woman. Zak tells him he needn't worry, and Russ's fears are unfounded when Caroline seems more than satisfied with her new man...
