Tina is still in a coma following the premature delivery of her baby and in her absence Jacqui and Tony assume the child to be theirs. Tony wants to call the child Max in memory of his mate and Jacqui agrees. Tina eventually wakes up and is taken to see the baby, and is obviously torn at the idea of surrendering baby Max. Her family explain that Fletch pushed her down the city steps but she is confused and says she only remembers seeing Niall, this is all dismissed and soon Tina begins to remember that she had been having second thoughts about giving away the child. Just as Tina is disclosing these doubts to Dom, the doctor informs them that Tina is in dire need of surgery. Meanwhile Jacqui and Tony are blessing their good fortune and Tina for delivering them a baby boy. Tina awakens after surgery and all seems well, even Dom seems relieved that the whole ordeal is finally over until the Doctor informs them that they had to perform an emergency hysterectomy on Tina and she will never give birth again...

Nige, seemingly hard up for once, spots Justin in the village who is distracted by a phone conversation to Ste. Nige recognises the opportunity to steal a laptop Justin has confiscated through work and makes off with it before Justin notices. Nige heads to the Student Halls to flog the stolen goods, which is where he comes across Leila, to whom he easily sells the computer for £50. Nige finds Sasha outside the Dog and approaches her with some Heroin. She is clearly torn but knowing that Danny and Calvin are inside the pub she repels him, but for how long?
Leila, having moved into Halls is proving an unwelcome guest. To atone for her culinary ineptitude she promises to buy Kris lunch in the SU Bar using some money given to her by her parents. On her way to meet Kris she bumps into Nige who is trying to fence Justin's stolen laptop. In spite of her own poverty Leila is easily duped into giving Nige the last of her cash for the the computer. Feeling pleased with herself for her good deed, she heads off to meet Kris. Upon discovering that he won't be getting any lunch today Kris is furious at Leila's naivety; the situation worsens when Justin spots Leila with the laptop and tries to snatch it away from her. Kris spotting an opportunity for resolution and more importantly lunch, persuades Justin to give Leila half the money back in exchange for the laptop. Everyone loses out except Kris, while Justin and Leila are immediately set at odds.
