Having lost both of his parents at an early age, Tom has been under the care of brother Max ever since. He was devastated by O.B's departure but has developed a close relationship with Max's fiancee Steph.

Tom is Ellis' first TV role, and has so far helped to fill his trophy cabinet with several awards.
