Russ recently found out that he was the father of Baby Max, a discovery which convinced him to stay in HOLLYOAKS when his dream girl Caroline left on the trip they planned together. Days later Max’s mother Tina was killed in an explosion engineered by Niall, leaving Russ feeling guilty for resentment of the situation that he had expressed before her death.

Baby Max now lives with Jacqui and Myra McQueen and Russ has moved back in to his former home with close friend Nancy.

Having previously appeared in both Family Affairs and Night and Day, Stuart landed the role of Russell Owen.
