After best mate OB moved away from HOLLYOAKS Max settled down to family life with Steph and Tom. Tragically however he was killed on his wedding day by drunk driver Niall Rafferty.

Matt came into the show having previously started his own youth group theatre, and was one of the longest-serving cast members, playing the character of Max for over ten years.
