How would you describe Louise's style?

I think the only way to describe Louise is very, very groomed. She's high maintenance!

Are there any similarities between your personal style and that of your character?

No, I would never spend all that time and energy putting on the sort of make up you have to wear for TV. I think that Louise dresses much more coldly than I do as well, I like to be warm and comfortable! I guess we do both like quite unique and usual clothing but even so our tastes are very different.

Have you had much input into your character's style?

We have an amazing costume department so I'm always really happy for them to choose Louise's wardrobe. I went shopping when I was first cast so that they could get an idea of my size and shape but now they go without me and bring back all kinds. Louise in the costume department has a fantastic eye for fashion and she often picks things that she would wear herself. They even make some of my outfits themselves!

Do you have a favourite 'Louise' outfit?

Although she's very different to me, I do enjoy dressing as a character and there has never been anything that I have felt really unhappy wearing. I don't think that there are any items that I would take home for myself but I do quite like her pink off the shoulder jumper which I helped to customise!

How did you feel the first time you saw yourself on screen?

I think the biggest difference was my hair. It was pulled back so tightly for my first scenes and usually I'm much more of a messy person. The major contrast has always been that Louise is just so much neater and more groomed than me!

If you could steal another Hollyoaks character's look, whose would it be?

Elliot Bevan, geek chic!

Do you have any style icons or a particular inspiration for your look?

Not really, I tend to go with what suits me rather than a particular trend. I think fashion is fun but I have lots of respect for people who use it to create an individual look. I love Gwen Stefani - even though I wouldn't wear the clothes that she does, she has a really distinctive style.
