100 GREATEST KIDS' TV SHOWS

Of all the 100 Greatests that have been made perhaps this show will be the most nostalgic of the lot.

After all, TV grabs us while we're young and impressionable and then has us singing the theme tune to White Horses for the rest of our lives.

The 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows will be like being regressed to our childhoods for an entire evening - a three-hour nostalgia fest which should finally dislodge those memories last seen floating around in the brain somewhere between Mr Benn and Scooby Doo in 1974.

From cartoons to dramas, comedy shows to factual programmes, quizzes to glove puppets, we pay tribute to the TV makers who had us transfixed in front of the telly from the Fifties to present day.

Over the course of the show we'll hear from the presenters, actors, animators and producers who shaped all our early days. And they would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids.

Surprisingly, we discover that there's as much sex, drugs and rock'n'roll in the history of children's telly as there is in real life.

And now we're all grown-ups we are at last ready to hear what children's TV was really like. And it wasn't all red dungarees and round windows.

But which was the greatest kids' TV show of them all?

Here's your chance to have your say from a list of 100 shows that were once experienced, never forgotten. Especially the theme tunes.

So what was Mr Benn's first name anyway?

The vote is closed now but the results of your vote will be screened in 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows towards the end of the summer.
