Born in 1980 in Ireland, Elaine Cassidy got her big break as the title character in Atom Egoyan's film Felicia's Journey. Starring alongside Bob Hoskins, Elaine's portrayal of a fragile young girl in search of her uncaring boyfriend won critical acclaim. Elaine's next big screen role was in Alejandro Amenabar's The Others, starring Nicole Kidman. Prior to The Ghost Squad, Elaine's television credits include The Lost World, Uncle Adolf and Fingersmith.

Irishman Jonas Armstrong is best known to Channel 4 viewers as Anthony Millington in the popular drama series Teachers.
