Mwah ha ha ha - it's that time of year again. Yep, Film4's FrightFest is back!
Once more, the team have pulled together a line-up that features such familiar figures of fear as Clive Barker, Alex Aja and Frank Henenlotter.
As ever though, there's also a real emphasis on finding future FrightFest favourites.
Always keen on breaking fresh ground, Film4 is paying particular attention to FrightFest first-timers as part of Generation Next.
Make sure you check out British directors Steven Sheil (Mum & Dad), Johnny Kevorkian (The Disappeared) and James Watkins' opening night film Eden Lake.
Film4 will also be screening a short season of films highlighting new directors, particularly those identified with mumblecore - young directors shooting fast, low-budget films, often on digital cameras and arranging their own distribution.

- Mutual Appreciation - 6 August, 10.45pm and 10 August, 12.25am
- Funny Ha Ha - 7 August, 1.30am
- Quiet City - 8 August, 1.35am
