The contestants will all compete in different events throughout the contest. These are:
For the Men
Water Ski Jump, Weights, Kendo, Vault, Diving, Speed skating, Cycling, Javelin, 100m sprint, 4 x 50m freestyle relay (Champion of Champions only)
For the Women
White Water Kayak, Hurdles, Cycling, Gym Floor, Swimming, Curling, Archery, Hammer, 100m sprint, 4 x 50m freestyle relay (Champion of Champions only)
In each event, our contestants will be coached by our hand-picked team of specialist trainers. They include some of the leading international coaches and competitors in their sports in the world:
Shaun Pearce - White Water Kayak Slalom
As an athlete, Shaun won the title of World Champion in 1997 and World Cup Champion in 1994. He has been world team champion twice and British Champion seven times. Shaun has been Head Coach for the Canadian Olympic Team for 2000- 2005. Under Shaun's instruction one of the Canadian competitors - David Ford - came fourth in the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
Paul Budden - Kendo
Paul Budden (Kendo Bucho) has been practicing Kendo for 26 years and he is a British Kendo Association National Coach. He won a bronze medal as part of Great Britain's team at the European Championships in 1987.

Suk Dong Eun (Peter) - Archery
Peter is the Head Coach of the GB Archery team. He is a former Korean Champion and has coached the Korean team and the Italian Women's National Team.
Fatima Whitbread - Javelin
Former World Record Holder Fatima won Olympic silver in 1988 and bronze in 1984. In 1987 she was World Champion. In 1987 Fatima was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Mick Jones - Hammer Throwing
Mick Jones is the current Commonwealth Hammer Champion and UK No 1. He won silver at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 and Gold in Manchester in 2002. Mick has been the British Hammer champion six times and is also a trained sports massage therapist.
John Wood - Water-Ski Jump
John is the Performance Director for British Water-ski. In the last six years John has overseen programmes that have created eight world champions, 15 European champions, one world team championship and three European team championships.
Russell Keiller - Curling
Russell is the current Great Britain Women's Olympic Coach and was British Curling Team Coach at 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, when the team of four captained by Rhona Martin won first British Gold for 18 years. As a competitor Russell won the 1982 European Championships Gold, the World Championship Silver Medal (1995) and was Scottish Champion in 1984 and 1995.
David Heathcock - Swimming 50m Freestyle
David Heathcock is a former Olympic coach for the British swim team. In 1980 he coached Gary Abraham to win Olympic Bronze in Moscow in the 4 x 100 medley relay. David has coached a British Record Holder in nine different events. David is currently head coach at the Ealing Swimming Club.
Colin Bovell - Hurdles and 100 m Sprint
Colin is the former UK Athletics National Event Coach. He has coached to Olympic and World Champion level in hurdles.
Andy Wood - Gym Vault and Floor
Andy is the Associate National Gymnastics Coach and has been coaching for 27 years. He is currently training a gymnast for the Commonwealth Games.
Geoff Cooke - Cycling
Since becoming the National Sprint Champion at the age of 17 in 1963, Geoff has won a total of 25 National Championships, including World Masters Sprint Champion (eight times) and World Masters 500m Time Trial Champion (three times).
Stuart Horsepool - Speed Skating
As a former speed skating competitor, Stuart has amassed 21 Gold, 19 Silver and 13 Bronze medals at the British Championships, and four Silver and four Bronze medals at the World Championships. In his first seven years as coach Stuart produced five senior and seven junior British speed skating champions. Stuart is currently the Great Britain National Coach & Team Manager.
Kim White - Diving
Kim was appointed Senior National Diving Coach for Great Britain in 1988. He coached the team for the Commonwealth Games in 1990 and the World Championships in Australia in 1991. Kim was the Olympic & National Coach for Norway from 1992 to 1996. Since returning to Great Britain he has coached two Olympic finalists: Hayley Allen and Tony Ally.
Keith Morgan - Weightlifting
Former International Weightlifting Champion Keith Morgan has coached both world and Commonwealth medallists. He coached the reigning Commonwealth Champion, Delroy McQueen and is also a Strength and Conditioning coach to many UK Commonwealth and Olympic athletes.
Toby Garbett - Fitness Coach
Toby Garbett is an Olympian and two-time World Champion rower. A qualified Pilates instructor and personal trainer.
