Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Fit Farm just about losing weight?

No, all ten guests have very specific goals, whether it's the 9-stone weakling who wants to develop a decent pair of shoulders, or the wine merchant who wants to get fit and rejoin his local cricket team.

Will there be a prize at the end of the series?

Yes, at the end of the twelve weeks there will be a vote and a £10,000 prize will be awarded to the guest, or guests, who have made the greatest personal achievement.

Do guests stay in The Fit Farm every day?

The guests stay from Sunday to Thursday and are free to go home at the weekend. But that doesn't mean they can fall off the fitness wagon and tuck into the kebabs when no one's looking.

What kind of classes do the guests have to attend?

The classes are divided into three groups: fitness, diet and life-coaching. There will be a mixture of one-on-ones - individual sessions with one guest and a member of staff - and group sessions. There will also be a weigh-in where each guest is weighed every Thursday.

Will the guests be on a strict diet?

They will eat three balanced meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. No food will be served other than at meal times.

Can they drink alcohol?

Guests are not allowed to bring alcohol into The Fit Farm. Alcohol will only be provided at the discretion of the manager.

What kind of facilities do the guests have use of?

The Fit Farm has a fully equipped gym, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a private terrace, the only place in The Fit Farm where guests are allowed to smoke.

Will guests be voted out?

No, but not all guests will stay the whole twelve weeks. If a guest realises their goal before then, they might 'graduate' early. But this will only happen if the staff feels certain that the guest has achieved all of their aims.

Will the guests have a kind of Diary Room?

Yes, the guests and staff can go to The Study where they can record their feelings privately on camera in the video journal.

Can I visit The Fit Farm?

Yes, there will be competitions on the website to win a Day Pass to The Fit Farm so keep an eye out for details. Celebrity guests may also drop into The Fit Farm from time to time.

  • Guests must wear their personal microphones at all times
  • Guests will share the two bedrooms
  • Bedroom lights are turned off at midnight every night. Lights must stay on between 9am and 9pm
  • Breakfast is served at 8am until 9.30am
  • Guests must gather at 10.25am each day in the common room to await the morning briefing
  • Attendance at The Fit Farm classes is compulsory
  • Guests will be served three meals a day. No food will be served other than at meal times
  • Alcohol will be provided only at the discretion of the manager. Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol in themselves
  • It's against the rules for guests to chew gum
