The thought that she might be joining him was almost too much for John. He told her that he'd be praying that she'd make it, but that if she didn't then that was the way things were meant to be. He told her "I love you so much - more than ever."

John has been missing his girlfriend a lot since his arrival in Eden and has had no qualms about sharing his love for her on TV.

I can't tell you how nice it was to talk to you yesterday. I had been so nervous and excited all day when the phone rang I was shaking and I could feel my heart beating. I was wreck. I just hope that it was the news that you were wanting to hear. It's been so hard trying not to mention anything about it to you. I was hoping that you wouldn't notice that I'd been avoiding the subject everytime u asked me.
I just feel such a relief now that I can talk to you about it, but we have both just got to remember that it could go either way and try not to get our hopes up too much. I would hate to spoil the experience for you if nothing came of it, so remember that whatever happens, I'm always going to be waiting for you when you get back. It's out of my hands now, but I've kept my promise to you so far, in that I've done all I could. Let's just see what happens!
Oh, I also want to apologise for getting all high-pitched and over-excited I hope you could hear me alright, also sorry for hardly letting you get a word in!!!! Three minutes is quick time, I tell ya.
It was nice to stay at your house with your mum lastnite, John. Your mum is a really lovely person and it is clear to see why you have turned out to be the person that you are. You get a lot of your qualities from her and you are a credit to each other. I feel inspired by both of you and I feel blessed to have you in my life.
I hope that everything is still good in Eden. Can't wait to see the show 2nite,
