Brian Darling
Since childhood Brian has hated Nick. Could it be he knows more about his mother's relationship with Nick's dad than he let's on? Or is it just part of his overall sour demeanour where everything including his life as a Reverend in the Episcopalian Church is an annoyance to him.

Being reunited with his illegitimate son could change him though as despite pretending the boy is a Swedish orphan, he finally listens to Nick and starts to look after him.
