Katherine goes to the police to express concern over her missing husband Adam, who she suspects has been kidnapped by Wayne. The police are reluctant to believe her story because they are all friendly with her ex and instead alert him of her accusations.
Katherine feels she has no other option but to escape Wysteria Lane with daughter Dylan, leaving Bree in the lurch over organizing the wedding party for Watkins and Rahm. Poor old Bree is being constantly pursued by Orson, but she refuses to take him back until he turns himself in to the police for what he did to Mike.
Ellie contacts Gabrielle to get her beloved teddy bear back. Gabrielle is suspicious of Ellie's sentimental attachment to the stuffed toy so she rips it open to discover over a hundred of thousand dollars inside. And Gabrielle intends to keep it all...
Adam plays dead after being beaten by Wayne, who is desperate for answers to the whereabouts of his real daughter. Wayne goes to Katherine's house to find out the truth but is unaware Adam is hot on his trail.
Meanwhile, Ellie is back to claim her money but ends up in a fight over it with Gabrielle. She runs away and stumbles into Katherine's home where Katherine is being held at gun point by Wayne. Wayne shoots Ellie before dragging Bree into the situation when she arrives on Katherine's doorstep!
Katherine is forced into confessing about their daughter's accidental death and how she was unable to tell anyone about what happened as she had feared Wayne would twist the truth and hold her responsible. In desperation she went to a Romanian orphanage and adopted a girl that looked just like Dylan. Thankfully Adam arrives just in time to rescue Bree and Katherine but can't stop the latter turning the gun on Wayne.
At the end of the show we catch a glimpse into the lives of the housewives five years on...
