It's fast approaching Mother's Day on Wysteria lane and Susan is lumbered with her overbearing mother in law who is critical of her lack of domestic skills. The situation becomes so unbearable that Susan soon finds herself feigning childbirth.

Bree confronts Edi over her drunken kiss with Orson but it's Edi who has the upper hand when she discovers that Benjamin is actually her nephew - he's Austin and Danielle's secret love child after all. She uses this as blackmail until Lynette, Susan and Gabrielle jump to Bree's defence and decide to finally cut Edi out of their friendship group. Edi packs her bags and heads off to see her son Travi, but she isn't sure when she'll be back, if at all.

Meanwhile Lynette is still unable to cope with Kayla's disruptive behaviour and asks a doctor to come over to the house to monitor how the family interact with one other. The doctor advises Lynette to spend some quality time with Kayla but this doesn't go quite to plan and ends with Kayla claiming Lynette is an abusive parent.

Gabrielle discovers Elli's secret stash of cocaine and reluctantly reports her to the police. However, the police already know and are waiting to find out who is supplying the drugs to Ellie. Gabrielle is forced to carry on like normal as police have promised to take Carlos off probation if she helps with their investigation.

Katherine tells Wayne that Dylan is not his child and after using her discarded chewing gum to check her DNA, he discovers that she is telling the truth. However, he also discovers that Dylan is mysteriously missing a scar on her arm that she was supposed to have got as a child after an accident??
