#521 Dawson keeps Joey company while studying, but he realizes he's a bit more of a hindrance than a help as Joey eyes him jealously while he watches movies to 'study.' Realizing he's not much help to Joey, Dawson heads for the movie theater and runs into Amy, the film critic, after the movie. She admits she's ditched her date. She invites him to watch a movie at her apartment. Dawson takes her up on the invitation, and the two bond over their common interest in movies. They start kissing, and wind up having sex. Later, Dawson finds Amy's senior thesis film, and wants to watch it, but Amy's dead set against it. Over Chinese food, Amy admits to Dawson that she doesn't want him to see her movie because it's awful. The two grow closer, and they talk about past relationships. Dawson admits he and Jen are still good friends. Amy's impressed - her relationships usually end in knock-down drag-out fights. Amy tells him one day he’ll meet someone perfect. Dawson wonders aloud if he already has, but worries that his chance with Joey has passed him by, since she spent the night with Charlie. But Amy asks Dawson whether the fact that they spent the night together means that he's moved on. Dawson ponders the question. As he leaves, Amy gives him a Woody Allen movie she wants him to watch, before Dawson takes off. Dawson finds Joey still camped out at the library, and they share a warm moment.
