If it does not automatically do so, you may need to rescan your digital television or box to update the channel numbers to ensure that they are receiving ALL channels available in your area through your aerial.
For a chart of new channel numbers please see to the right.
You can check if your box has updated automatically. When you are watching TV as normal press 13 on your remote control. If Channel 4+1 appears at channel 13 then you do not need to do anything. If channel 13 is not Channel 4+1 then you need to manually rescan your box.
Your box may give you the option to rescan. We strongly recommend that you do so in order to ensure that you are picking up ALL the channels available to you.
Your box may do nothing, in which case you need to rescan it manually. Different box models take between 3 and 30 minutes to rescan. You may be unable to watch your television during this time. All of this information applies to digital television sets as well as the digital set top boxes. Your digital television set or box will scan for all digital channels that it can receive via your aerial in your area. It will store some of the channels with new numbers.
If for any reason you lose channels through the rescan process this could be due to poor weather or how strong or weak the digital signal is that day. Please try another rescan at another time.
Your box will not retain any personal settings you have made. For example “favourites” and parental lock. You will need to reset these.
Some sets re-tune automatically, but if yours doesn't follow the info below:
