On the 30 September 2009 improvements are being made to the Freeview service that will affect the whole country. This will mean that everyone will need to re-tune their Freeview TV or box, otherwise they will lose some of their channels.
Unfortunately for those viewers in Wales, this will mean re-tuning again, in addition to the re-tune on the 9 September.
You can read instructions on how to re-tune, or watch the information video.
For additional information and advice on re-tuning, you can visit tvretune.co.uk.
Are you set for the digital switchover? Between 2008 and 2012, TV broadcasting in the UK will go digital, introducing audiences to more channels and improved quality. The switchover will happen region by region until the analogue broadcast signal is completely replaced by a digital one.
With digital you'll still receive your Channel 4 favourites, but also the added choice of More4, E4 and Film4, all free to view. To enjoy this new digital choice you'll need to convert your television and video recorders, either by adding a digital box or replacing your hardware.
NB. In some areas improved picture quality and channel availability is not guaranteed.
Find out more about getting set for digital at the Digital UK website, a not-for-profit organisation set up by the public service broadcasters.
