The Smoking Jacket
Richard Lewis’s comatose cousin might make Larry’s birthday wish come true, and in turn he promises to fulfil the wish of a sick young man. A potentially misdirected gift from his father spurs Larry to swap smoking jackets with an icon...
It’s Larry’s birthday, and what do you do on your birthday? Why, you pay a visit to the comatose cousin of your kidney needing friend – well, that’s what you do if you’re Larry David at least. Wilson, a kid in an adjacent bed, blackmails Larry into making a wish come true for him. He wants to see a nudey lady.
Jeff wings it so Larry, Larry’s cousin Andy and Wilson get to go the Playboy Mansion. Larry scares off the naked women, so Wilson’s sordid hopes and dreams are dashed (for the time being at least). After a restroom incident, Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner unwittingly ends up with Larry’s dad smoking jacket.
Wilson’s wish finally comes true when he stumbles across beauty and the beast – Playmate Bobby Sue being all naughty with Andy. Larry’s surprise birthday gift from Cheryl culminates in yet another jacket fiasco.
