The Larry David Sandwich
A near-death experience sets Larry on a soul-searching journey, made all the more desperate when his father reveals a stunning secret. Meanwhile, Leo’s Delicatessen unveils a new sandwich bearing Larry’s name – unfortunately, the ingredients are not to its namesake’s liking…
Larry has a new found positivity after nearly drowning; this attitude immediately reaps the rewards because a sandwich has been named after him at Leo’s Delicatessen. But, as is the way in Larry David land, delight turns to disappointment because the sarnie contains white fish, sable, capers, onions and cream cheese – eurgh!
After sampling the “interesting” flavours of the Larry David sandwich, Larry’s dad Nat suffers a stroke. As Nat’s recovering, he mutters something to Larry that sounds like “adopted”. Could Larry really have different parents? Well, Larry certainly has no qualms about having folks he’s never met before and, with gusto, embraces the suggestion.
Once Leo of Leo’s Delicatessen fame discovers that Larry maybe adopted, Larry swaps his eponymous sandwich for that of a certain Cheers cast member. Larry then receives a phone call from the one person who maybe able to confirm whether he is adopted or not.
