The Baptism
Larry can’t believe that the Jewish man who is marrying Cheryl’s sister, Becky, is converting to Christianity. Richard Lewis accuses Larry of stealing the outgoing message off his answering machine, and Larry accuses several passengers of stealing his airline tickets…
Before flying off to Monterey for Becky’s wedding, Larry meets Richard Lewis. Not one to hold a grudge, Richard forces Larry to change his outgoing message because he thinks he stole it from him seven years ago.
At the airport, Larry accuses all and sundry of stealing his and Cheryl’s airline tickets, but in the end concedes he’ll have to pay out again to make it on time to Becky’s fiancé’s baptism. Unfortunately for the couple, Larry does make it to the ceremony on time and causes the biggest Christian/Jewish divide since The Bible.
Thanks to the inadvertent actions of Larry, Becky’s marital future is put into question. And we also find out what exactly happened to those airline tickets.
