The Acupuncturist
An acupuncturist agrees to waive his $5000 fee if he can’t cure Larry’s back. Coincidentally, Larry loans a struggling writer $5000, expecting to be paid off after the writer’s father dies. What could go wrong…
After loaning Barry, a former Saturday Night Live show writer, $5000, Larry attempts to speed up the repayment by making hints to Barry’s father, which inadvertently convinces him to write Barry out of his will. Larry’s also in danger of losing $5000 after placing a wager with his acupuncturist.
Following an innocuous incident at a Japanese restaurant, a waiter becomes intent on exacting revenge on Larry. The revenge goes askew, which is fortunate for Larry, but unfortunate for Barry’s father as he’s on the receiving end of it and dies before he can change his will.
Larry receives the $5000 from Barry, but is once again down on his luck after making a careless phone call to the acupuncturist’s receptionist. When will he learn?
