The Shrimp Incident
With a new television project featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the pipeline, Larry’s a few shrimps short of a HBO deal, an apparent misogynist, and a wife beater…
In a take-out mix-up, Larry suspects Alan Wasserman, the president of HBO, has lifted his kung-pow shrimp. Later, when he and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are pitching their new show to HBO, Larry just can’t leave the subject of that particular seafood alone.
Despite his shrimp hang-ups, Larry secures a deal with HBO, but quickly dampens the mood with the network during a poker game by calling one of the HBO bods the “c” word. For some reason or other, the rest of the poker players take umbrage to this jibe and label Larry a misogynist.
Following the shrimp incident, claims of misogyny, and an assertion that he’s been beating Cheryl, Larry’s future with HBO doesn’t look too secure in the slightest.
