While having a spin in Jeff’s new 57 Chevy Convertible, Larry mistakes a beep in a radio commercial for actual beeping, which results in Jeff’s car getting a good ramming. “Have you never heard the commercial before?” says Jeff, “Double A ‘beep, beep’ MCO! Everyone’s heard that commercial!” Everyone except Larry.
Jeff’s motoring misfortunes look to be solved when at the dinner party Larry talks to Mike Duffy, a worker at AAMCO who thinks he could fix the Chevy. This chance meeting isn’t enough for Larry, as he lets Cheryl know that he didn’t have a good time: “Someone lost a little bet tonight.”
Larry and Jeff meet Mike at his garage and he reckons he can fix the car, but in true Larry David fashion he butts in, which really doesn’t help matters at all. Still, at least Larry won his wager with Cheryl.
