Ted and Mary
Larry’s friendship with Ted Danson and his wife Mary Steenburgen is going great guns, but after an emitting a rather unpleasant noise, Larry believes their relationship maybe over before it’s really begun…
Larry’s delight at being invited to a Paul Simon concert is soon dashed because his shoes have gone missing at the bowling alley, so he goes about ordering some replacements with Mary and her mother. All’s going well until Larry makes an “urgh” sound after realising he’s drunk some of Mary’s mother’s water.
Larry eventually retrieves his footwear from the bowling alley and gets them fumigated straight away. A salesman from Barney’s, who put the order in for Larry’s replacement shoes, notices Larry’s newfound footwear and is pretty annoyed about the fact that Larry’s already got the exact same shoes he ordered from him. “People like you are the problem!” to which Larry responded, “I’m not the problem, I’m the solution!”
It’s late in the week and Larry and Cheryl still haven’t heard from Ted and Mary about the Paul Simon tickets, which they put down to the unsavoury “urgh” incident. However, it seems that this isn’t exactly the case.
