Richard Lewis
Richard Lewis is a self-confessed recovering alcoholic with intimacy problems, or as Larry would let it be known, he’s a “babbling brook of bullshit”. Either’s quite an accurate description of Larry’s stand-up comedian friend.
He’s a troubled soul and boy does he let those around him know about it. He’s had 28 therapists since 1969 and claims it would take him three months to merely recap on all of his problems. He’s puts a lot of faith in love and spirituality, but it seems love and spirituality puts little faith in Richard Lewis, as he more often than not falls short in the romance stakes.
That said, Richard is a kind and loyal man, and when his past substance abuse finally catches back up with him, he hopes his friends act in a similar manner. After a game of eanie-meanie mo, Larry finally pulls through for his good friend – albeit, very begrudgingly.
