Larry David
Writer, director and co-creator of Seinfeld, Larry David is, to quote his manager, confidante and best friend Jeff Greene, “a victim of circumstance”. His various ventures (writing a new sitcom, running a restaurant, starring in The Producers and donating a kidney) often end up in complete disaster, so it’s a good job he’s got his good lady wife Cheryl to help him out (or not, as the case maybe) in times of need.
Larry, “friend o’ lesbians”, is always getting accused of many a thing he hasn’t done. In the past Larry’s been falsely accused of: Having an erection in the cinema, stealing Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ bracelet, calling Cheryl’s dead aunt the “c” word, copping a feel of Jeff’s mother’s bosom, being a wife beater, harassing young girls in bathrooms and stealing forks from restaurants. Bad luck follows Larry around like a nasty smelling fish sandwich.
However, Larry’s not completely flawless; in fact he’s probably got more flaws than a very big hardware store. He tends to say stupid things to the disabled, African-Americans, lesbians, prostitutes, drug dealers and even his closest friends. Larry tends to say stupid things period.
