About Comedy Lab
A unique televisual experiment that unearths the comedy stars of the future (oh yes), Comedy Lab pushes the boundaries of all that is humourous and jovial, whilst exposing the comedy performers and writers of tomorrow.
Channel 4 has broadcast over 70 of the things since the series began in 1998 which means they surely can't be all that bad.
Obviously not, as Comedy Lab has also launched the careers of some of the UK's most-loved comedians including Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, Dom Joly and Ricky Gervais.
A launch pad for the bizarre, surreal and ridiculous, it's the warm and cosy bosom from which delights such as Fonejacker and Modern Toss were nurtured too.
