Lee Evans

The Norman Wisdom-esque comic best known for his boundless energy, sweaty brow and stand-up routines so manic and physical that his suits last barely a couple of gigs. His performance DVD, XL was one the fastest selling comedy performances ever.
Lee Hurst

Known for his quick wit and hilarious ad-libbing, Hurst is a hugely experienced stand-up who enjoyed wider public recognition as a regular panellist on the BBC comedy sports quiz They Think It's All Over. Like many other comics, Hurst has even ventured into running his very own comedy venue, the Backyard Comedy Club in London's east end.
Lee Mack

Another They Think It's All Over alumni. Now hosting the show, Lee Mack is also known for his surreal word play and work on The Sketch Show. He also has his own show on BBC Radio Two.
Lenny Bruce

Fast living, foul-mouthed hipster saint of the comedy world, free-speaking Bruce became the bete noir of the American establishment in the 1960s. Arrested numerous times on obscenity charges, he had an act that at the time was considered so profane, he was even jailed for it. This First Amendment martyr and persecuted iconoclast inspired a whole legion of later comedians.
Lenny Henry

One of the UKs most successful ever comedians, Lenny Henry is also one of its best-loved. He has worked across the whole comedy spectrum from Tiswas to The Comic Strip and even ventured into Hollywood films with True Identity. He is also one of the main driving forces behind Comic Relief.
