Another day in Meadowlands; David reflects on the circumstances that brought him to the community, and begins to feel trapped and frustrated by his new life. Another visit from Evelyn causes further problems.

The day begins normally enough for Danny with a package from overseas, but an encounter with a young girl at the garage leaves him unsettled. Tensions between Evelyn and Abigail are beginning to reach boiling point, and Brenda tries to explain to Mark why their relationship can't continue.

Danny and Evelyn pay a visit to the golf course with Zoe and, while mother and daughter play a couple of holes, Danny takes the opportunity to try and find out more about Tom and his life in Meadowlands. However, David is also at the links, where it's soon apparent to Evelyn that he has blackmail on his mind, and his behaviour becomes increasingly out of character.

Brenda notices that Mark has now switched his attentions to Jezebel, and confides to David over her worries that she may have made a fool of herself. Wintersgill and Freddie both notice some peculiar behaviour from Danny, and they begin to suspect he may be up to something. David continues to pressure Evelyn, and Abigail finally snaps when he confronts her about her affair with Jack Donnelly.

Evelyn tries to persuade David not to do anything reckless, but he's convinced that Evelyn has been giving out signals to him. She challenges him with a few home truths about his life, but they only serve to anger him further. Meanwhile, Freddie and Lori go to Samantha with their suspicions about Danny, and she persuades them to sit tight and wait to see what Danny is really up to. But Danny has had enough of sitting tight.
