Danny goes to the centre to ask Samantha what Cape Wrath means, but finds Freddie and Lori who say they're looking for her too. Danny thinks they know more than they're letting on. Meanwhile, Samantha has left Meadowlands to visit her father in London, where he tells her that he has terminal cancer. Freddie calls in on Danny's bar to try to find out how much he knows about Cape Wrath.

Zoe takes a walk to the golf course to see if Tom will tell her about his past, but he refuses to open up. Bernard confronts her, demanding the return of the stolen case files.

Evelyn is puzzled by the change in Mark, but she doesn't yet know the real story behind his frequent visits to the Ogilvie house. A strange phone call sends her off to see David, but he denies any knowledge of the call and accuses her of projecting her insecurities on to him.

Samantha finally agrees to talk about Meadowlands with her father, and we learn that Cape Wrath is connected with his work with a mysterious child named Una. Danny has a bizarre episode with a fly, and then it's his turn to receive a phone call. Evelyn visits David's surgery, and finds Abigail, who tells her how her affair with Jack Donnelly is ruining her marriage, and suggests a bout of retail therapy to take her mind off things. Danny challenges Freddie over the phone calls, but finds himself in the midst of some decidedly weird mind games.

Danny begins to get a touch of cabin fever and becomes irritable, saying that "these people are trying to get inside my head", while Zoe asks Tom if he's doing the same to her. Back in London, Samantha begins to wonder if her involvement with Cape Wrath may be deeper than she realises. She goes through her father's case files and makes a shocking discovery. Danny's hallucinations continue, and Freddie and Lori are forced to take action. Mark refuses to answer Zoe's questions about his change of mood, only for Brenda to tell him their affair has to end. Samantha returns to Meadowlands, where she tells Danny that she knows he murdered Jack, and finally gives him some answers. David doorsteps Evelyn and accuses her of trying to interfere in his marriage, and Samantha gives Danny an ultimatum in exchange for the truth about Cape Wrath.
