Evelyn meets with Dr York who gravely informs her that Danny is infertile, revealing that he is not the father of Zoe and Mark.
At the police station, Bernard is resorting to unethical methods to try to force Danny to admit to the murder and reveal the whereabouts of Jack's body.
Later that evening, Bernard sneaks into the Brogan's garden while they are out attending a party to celebrate the Meadowlands' third birthday. He is desperate to find Jack's body or any form of incriminating evidence to link Danny to the crime.
He later appears at the celebration with Danny in tow, and interrupts the party to announce that Danny is innocent of Jack's murder and that Jack, dead or alive, has gone, and bids him good riddance.
